What is BomLife?

BOMLife five element philosophy — Kshiti (soil), Tu (water), Aap (air), Marut (energy) and Byom at the centre

In the concept of panchabhuta – the creation is made up of 5 basic elements Kshiti – earth, Aap – water, Tej – energy, Marut – air & Byom popularly pronounced as Bom is defined as nothingness – the eternal void; from which the entire universe is created and at the end it would disappear into it. The sound is attributed to Lord Shiva - the god of fertility, the one who creates and at the end destroys!

Metaphorically BomLife signifies the eternal cycle of life.

Our core principle is to restore the cycles of nature disturbed or damaged due to irresponsible assault on the natural world by humans with the advent of industrial age, specially in the field of agriculture where 20th century intervention has caused such alarming damage that it now poses a serious threat to the future of our food security and wellbeing.

Spearheading a Technological Shift

We believe in the power of microbes, we believe in the science of biochemistry, microbiology, we believe in developing technology that integrates our knowledge of science with the functioning of the natural world so our solutions ride with the power of nature and not against it.

We have designed bio-inputs that rejuvenate the population of beneficial microbes around the root system, building a synergistic nutrient engine that keeps providing balanced nutrients to the plants, protects them from pathogens, builds systemic resistance in them to fight adversities.

MAXIMIZING THE SYNERGY

Four decades of microbial research

Microbial synergy across a farmland landscape

Our solutions have evolved over nearly four decades of hard research in identifying and isolating numerous strains of various beneficial microbes and trying their combinations that maximizes the synergy…

NOVEL WORKING PRINCIPLE

Biology over chemistry

Root zone illustration of the BOMLife working principle

Chemical fertilizers enable rapid uptake of nutrients and immediate response. Our systems tend to retain nutrients within living microbial networks and soil organic matter, enabling a more gradual and efficient…

Viksit India 2047 — healthy citizens through improved human capital, economic benefit through self-sufficiency in fertilizer input, and a sustainable tomorrow with a huge contribution to SDGs

Mission: Towards VIKSIT BHARAT

To be a developed nation citizens’ health is as important as the growth of GDP, sustainability is as important as building infrastructure. We intend to contribute to the health of the citizen through sustainable agricultural practices that improves quality of food as well as overall environment.

HUMAN CAPITAL - Health

Our bio inputs secures not only toxin free but also better quality crop with higher nutritional value. Our biologically managed nutrient engine supply macro & micronutrients along with many enzymes and alkaloids that helps natural biochemical pathways to function optimally helping plant produce more of active agents, higher anti-oxidant content, better tissues etc.

ENVIRONMENTAL CAPITAL - Carbon Negative

Our biofertilizer is a microbial culture, so large scale production of our biofertilizer doesn’t require much energy or external resources.

FINANCIAL CAPITAL - Self Sufficiency in Agri Inputs

India imports LNG worth over 50,000CR for production of chemical fertilizers mainly urea.

Apart from this India spends another 70,000CR on importing Urea, DAP & MoP.

The success of our indigenous technology can make India self sufficient in agri input supply and save fiscal burden associated with fertiliser subsidies and imported fertiliser raw materials.

Dr Aditya, Amlan & Dr Abhrajyoti all studied Masters in BioChemistry at Ballygunge Science College, Calcutta University, under Prof Dhrubajyoti Chattopadhyay, who since the nineties has been inculcating the idea of beneficial microbes for agriculture into his students.

It has taken nearly 35years of hard research and field trials in first arriving at the right combination of microbes that achieves maximum synergy - hence highest efficacy & then designing the application protocols and package of practices that ensure balanced nutrient supply to plants.
